Goethe Satellite @ Vancouver: “Unlearning Weekenders” Artist Talk by Catherine Grau & Zoe Kreye
Unlearning Weekenders Tumblr site
The public is now invited into the process with us. Please join us this June for a series of Unlearning Weekenders.
WHAT: free workshops + public procession for those who think there is more to life than we know
WHERE: Vancouver, BC
ABOUT: Unlearning Weekenders are a series of workshops that invite the public to co-develop a public procession. We are looking for new ways to activate our perceptions and find creative forms of criticality. With the use of props, costume and our individual + collective bodies we wish to challenge invisible social structures, disrupt hierarchies and celebrate new narratives. The procession looks to reclaim internal personal space and external public space.
INTENTION: to come together in public space and take the risk of embodying criticality through spirituality and celebration
WHEN:
June 2: Movement + Public Space Workshop* @ Public Dreams
June 8 + 9: Prop + Costumes for Unlearning Workshop* @ Public Dreams
June 15: FINAL EVENT Unlearning Procession, 9am – 9pm, details TBA (with breaks & meeting points along the way)

June 22: Artist Talk, 4pm @ CAG Field House
